TV Show "Your Chance to Dance"
September 17, 2010 - Country Music Television (CMT) televised an episode of the NEW dance show "Your Chance to Dance". Veronica, Mark and Charles were contestants on this show. Although it was a bit nerve-racking performing in front of a television audience, it was great fun and a wonderful experience.

Summer Showcase 2010
August 7, 2010 - For this Summer's Showcase, we made a few changes. The Show was moved to a Saturday and it was held during the afternoon (rather than evening). Everyone seemed to enjoy these changes as well as the Showcase itself.
We saw great performances in Bolero, Waltz, Swing and Tango. There was a group Tango/Salsa routine as well as the usual solos. Congrats to everyone on a wonderful job!

Europe Tour 2010
June 2010 - We spent 16-Days in Europe, traveling through Edinburgh (Scotland), Blackpool & Liverpool (England), Geneva (Switzerland) and Athens (Greece). The sightseeing is amazing in Europe and the weather is great at this time of year. I highly recommend joining us on our next tour!

Valentine Party
February 12, 2010 - Well, here we are again! It was just a few months ago we were saying "goodbye", now we're saying "hello" at our new location. This was our first theme party at Hype Studios in Torrance and we had a great time, just look at the photos. Hope to see you at the Friday parties.

Christmas Party
December 18, 2009 - This was our annual holiday party in December as well as a Farewell Party to everyone. Dancer Avenue Studio has decided to move and this was our last time to see our old friends that have supported us for 15 years at this location.
We had several performances that night and just a really fun celebration as you will see from the photos. It was a great crowd!

Winter Showcase 2009
December 13, 2009 - As many of you know, the studio is moving and this was the last showcase here. There were splendid performances in Argentine Tango, Cha-Cha, Waltz, Swing and more. Everyone did a great job, from newcomers to veterans, professionals and students. Congrats to all of you!

Youth Showcase Fall 2009
October 2009 - We enjoyed performances from young dancers in several styles of dance - tap, ballet, jazz and ballroom. Their youth and energy makes these shows a treat to watch. After the dancing, the kids enjoyed a "cast party" to celebrate a job well done.
The pictures below only include "behind the scenes" photos of the kids getting ready to dance and some of the "cast party". Show pictures will be added later.

Halloween Party
October 30, 2009 - Again, we had Halloween decorations all around the studio, it was quite impressive. From flying zombies to hanging witches and our very own graveyard. Many dancers came in costume which added to the festivities. The costume contest was fun to see.
We had a solo routine to "Phamtom of the Opera" and a group routine to "Monster Mash". It was a fun night in all, checkout the pictures and the YouTube video links below.

Golden State Challenge 2009
October 21-24, 2009 in Costa Mesa, CA. This was a dancer friendly dance competition. The heats weren't too large but it was a good test for some new competitors.
T
his event moved to a larger, nicer hotel and the event seemed to go on without a hitch. Our students danced very well placing in all event and even winning some "big bucks" in the scholarship division. Congratulations to everyone on a job well done.

Sushi Party
Sept. 25, 2009 - Once again, we had another fun filled theme party. Sushi, sake and sumo wrestling all go together.
We had a table full of fresh sushi for our party, not that pre-made stuff you find at the market. This stuff was yummie. There were California rolls, Specialty rolls and traditional sushi. Hot sake was also available on request.
The show that evening included a Waltz exhibtion, a Tai Chi martial art exhibtion and our comical sumo wrestling. If you missed the Sumo show, click on the YouTube link below:

Nevada Star Ball Dance Championships 2009
August 20-23, 2009 - The Nevada Star Ball is held at the Green Valley Ranch Resort Casino in Henderson. The pool is definitely what you would expect to see at an exclusive resort - sofas by the pool, tented lounge areas, cabanas, swanky adult club and sand from Italy in the wading section of the pool.
Congratulations to everyone on a job well done. The competitors enjoyed some fun on the dance floor and took time out to watch a Vegas show at the Wynn Hotel.

Mark's Birthday Bash
July 31, 2009 - Dancer Avenue Studio has always been know as the friendliest studio in town. Our students and staff are friendly, the classes are fun and everyone has a great time at the Friday night social dance parties.
We have the most fun at our theme parties and special events, and Mark's Birthday Bash is perpaps the biggest party of the year. The year was no exception. We had a delicious buffet, complimentary champagne punch (and more) and a great show. Check out the party pictures below.
